Cardiovascular outcomes refer to the clinical endpoints that occur in the heart and blood vessels, used in medical studies to assess the safety and efficacy of treatments for cardiovascular disease. These outcomes can include serious events such as myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke, cardiovascular death, and heart failure. Often, a single study will evaluate a composite outcome, which is a combination of several of these individual events that signify a negative effect on cardiovascular health.
