Obesity with Knee Pain
Obesity with osteoarthritis of the knee means a person is carrying extra body weight while also having “wear-and-tear” damage in the knee joint. The extra weight puts more pressure on the knees, which can make knee pain, stiffness, and swelling worse. Over time, the cartilage that cushions the knee can break down, making it harder to walk, exercise, or do daily activities.
